Are You Licensed, Insured?

Yes, Jim’s Moving Services is fully insured and licensed to provide you worry-free service. All of our professional packers and movers are trained to make your day stress free and easy, almost fun!

Do You Protect My Hardwood Floors, Carpet, Or Tile?

Yes, We will protect all your hardwood, and tile floors when we get to your home at no extra cost. If you need full carpet film protection we offer that as well for a small fee. Our goal is to make your move stress free. Your home is safe with us.

Do You Hire Day Labor Or Do You Have Your Own Employees?

We have our own employees, who are thoroughly trained and experienced.

Do I Need To Empty My Dressers & Night?

You may leave lightweight clothing in your dresser drawers. Heavier clothing, books, pictures and breakable items should be packed and labeled.

Do I Need To Empty My File Cabinets?

Due to their light construction (and tremendous weight when full) some file cabinets must be emptied with the contents packed into boxes. Failure to do so may result in damage to the cabinet, your home or office, or injury to a mover.

  • 2-Drawer Files: the bottom drawer can stay full
  • Fireproof Files: entire cabinet must be empty
  • Vertical Files: bottom drawers can stay full; empty top drawers
  • Lateral Files: bottom 2 drawers can stay full; empty top drawers

Do You Move Pianos?

Yes! We move Upright (spinet), Console pianos, Grand and Baby Grand pianos. We prefer to come and give you an on-site estimate to look at access so that we bring the proper equipment to keep your piano safe and secure during the move.

Will You Disassemble And Reassemble My Bed?

Yes, we will disassembled your beds and cribs, move them with care to your new home and reassemble.

What Will My Moving Total Be?

We charge by the hour for the time it takes for the movers to load and deliver your belongings from one home to the next, plus drive time from our facility and back at the end of each day. We charge in 15-minute increments after our minimum charge. The other fees that apply is for packing materials (if used), fuel, storage & Warehouse handling fees (if you store with us).

What Form Of Payment Do You Accept?

We accept all major credit cards, personal checks or cash for local moves.

Do You Move In The Snow? If So How Do You Protect My Items?

Yes, we move in all “non-severe” weather conditions. All items will be covered by moving pads and or shrink wrap as they exit your home, and enter to your new home.
